You can use My Tech Guy services in two ways

1. Once only or Emergency requirement.

2. Regular Scheduled Service
Choose to have My Tech Guy attend your office on a regular basis, to complete scheduled maintenance requirements and any other tasks you may have (for example, setup a new user on the network prior to them starting, move printers, find a file, etc)

Frequency
Scheduled visits are generally on a monthly basis however some offices may require more frequent schedules (fortnightly or weekly) depending upon your site requirements.

Why do I need regular maintenance?
PC networks require regular maintenance to reduce the risk of data loss, retain performance and keep security optimum. There are many requirements that need to be maintained and verified with the following being just a short list:
- data backup & recovery verifications, - widows & other software security patches, - device driver upgrades, - hard disk drive & registry cleans, - Anti Virus & firewall security, - hard disk drive space requirements , and many, many, more.

Security is Crucial
Security and Virus maintenance is a crucial constant requirement to minimise risks from professional hackers reading and stealing your client files, kids (yes kids) using your network to spread viruses, thieves using your internet (IP) address for transaction theft. These risks are real, they occur everyday, they occur everywhere and initially occur without your knowledge.

Site documentation
Prior to commencing a scheduled maintenance routine, My Tech Guy will need to document your site. This is where we learn and discover the technical configurations of your site (for example what software is being used and how everything is connected) as well as what services are working, not working or inadequate (for example data backup, available disk space, security, etc),

Surprisingly for many offices this will be the first time their site is documented. Site documentation is a critical element in the speedy recovery of a computer network due to fire, flood, power surges/lightning strikes, theft, vandalism, hacker & virus intrusions, hard disk failures, server malfunctions, etc.

Once documented, My Tech GUY will provide you with a report that may include recommendations towards issues that need to be addressed, as well as a quotation to remedy the requirements. It is your choice whether you choose to go ahead with the recommendations or not.
